Ping-cheng,the capital city of the Northern Wei Dynasty,once served as a center city which was located at the eastern part of China along the Old Silk Road during the 5th century.Thus the two,Ping-cheng and Persia of the Sushan Dynasty,had been contacted directly and tightly through the international trading route of the Silk Road.Recent years,many wine cups made of silver and gold and other kind of vessel made of glass were unearthed from the tomb nearby the Datong(known as Pingcheng in Ancient times). Those silver and gold wine cups and vessel of glass are identified to be made or be brought from the Central Asia and the Western Asia.And they are excellence proof of the cultural and trading connection between Pingcheng and Persia of the Sushan Dynasty during the 5th century.The connection had directly promoted the development of technique of making glass during the Northern Wei Dynasty.Those fact clearly showed the broad influence over to prosperous Chinese cultural in prospective the Sui Dynasty and The Tang Dynasty.
