This article attempts to give a whole view of the collation research for the classic literary work of The Notes on Search For mythic Gods,the version of this classic work found in Dunhuang,in the introduction part.By a careful study,the author pointed out that accountable time of authentic coping of this Dunhuang Version,copy of The Notes on Search For Mythic Gods should be completed during the early period of the Northern Song Dynasty.Then,this article had made a careful study of Tianzhang-so as called Kunlong Tian,one of the mythic god in this book,by tracing its origin sources from the whole records in detail found at home and abroad,and try to restored back of its hitoric prototype for the figure of Tianzhang.And furthermore,this article made a study of the historic reason of why the god had been combined together with two stories:The Tianzhang’s story and The Kunlong Tian’s story and the course of the two to be formed into one.
