| 摘要 | 從對涅槃一詞的主要含意，它在印度佛教史上的形成、發展、影響及在中國的傳播的考察，以及對佛教的涅槃觀念與婆羅門教的解脫觀念之間的關聯的分析，我們發現，佛教的許多基本理論都涉及涅槃觀念，小乘佛教和大乘佛教的涅槃觀念有明顯差别，涅槃觀念傳入中國後在佛教界有較大影響，中國佛教宗派的不少重要理論都圍繞涅槃觀念展開。
This article deals with the Buddhist basic conception of "Nirvāṇa". The author studies the main meanings of this conception, its formation, development and influence in Indian Buddhist history, analyses its propagation in China and the connection between the Buddhist conception of Nirvāṇa and Brahminic conception of Mokṣa. The article holds that many fundamental theories of Buddhism have connection with the conception of Nirvāṇa. The conception of Nirvāṇa of Hīnayāna Buddhism and that of Mahāyāna Buddhism are quite different. The conception of Nirvāṇa has greatly influenced the Chinese Buddhism since it spread in China. Many theories of Chinese Buddhist schools develop around the conception of Nirvāṇa. |
