On the basis of recently published accurate measurements and the results of research on the Fengguo Temple in Yixian,Liaoning province,conducted by the China Cultural Heritage Institute,the authors present geometrical analysis of the measurements of the large timbers used in that structure.From the planning of the dougong bracketing and of the framework of the ceiling and the percentages of materials and architectural matching,the authors reconsider initial conclusions in the estimates of the original measurements used in planning the structure.
