Khotan is a famous ancient kingdom in the Western Regions and the Buddhism flourished there from Han to Tang Dynasties. Based on the documents, this paper discusses the performance, literary sources and reflection of secular ideas around several images of Earth God found in Khotan, Xinjiang, since more than 100 years. In the author's opinion, this kind of images, which were drawn on the basis of Suvarnaprabhasa-sutra "Sutra of Golden Light", which influenced the donors portraits of royal family in Buddhist drawings of Kucha and Dunhuang, reflected those donors' attempt to deify themselves and advocate the idea of Divine Right of Kings.
