The book "Buddhism Stone Statues in Henan" written by Mr.Wang Jingquan widely indexed those single Buddhism stone statues in Henan,which provide a rich and detailed reference to the academia.According to the author,there were more than twenty pieces of stone Bodhisattva statues of Tang dynasty excavated from the site of Dahai Temple in Xingyang,which were relics from the period of Wu Zetian to the late Tang dynasty.The creation of this collection may be based on the scriptures of "Vimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra"Vol 1, which is aimed at build up an ideal Buddh ist country and rescued those beings though spreading the Bodh isattva's cultivation.
