This paper mainly makes summaries of the distribution, type, character, style and culture element of the 17 group lithoid buddhist figures of Bod during A.D. 8~10 century, most of them object belonging to system and their clothes, reflecting obvious Bod figure element, meanwhile, elements from centrs Asin, Indo-Neple and China. The subject of these figures mainly are on Vairocana which shows the importance of Tantrism in Bod-Buddhism period. Their characteristics on dress reflects influences mainly from Bod culture and secondly from China, Nepal, India and Central Asia. At the same time, a brief analysis about matters existing in research work can also be done. Then, a suggestion has been tabled that we should supply the method of buddhism archaeology to our research on the lithoid buddhist figures in Bod period.
