With regards to the development of Humanistic Buddhism, Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s fundamental objectives and established direction are in fact basic guiding principles for Buddhist society, as well as establishing and developing moralized politics. Furthermore, from “Humanistic Buddhism” to “moralized politics,” Venerable Master has given clear definitions and discourse on the fundamental objectives and development principles of Humanistic Buddhism. Based on the exposition of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s philosophy on Humanistic Buddhism and society, this paper discusses the development and core concepts of Fo Guang Shan’s model of Humanistic Buddhism. Additionally, it demonstrates Venerable Master’s fundamental ideas on Buddhist society and spiritual politics. In doing so, it provides a blueprint for the future development of Humanistic Buddhism. Furthermore, it establishes a new theoretical framework of Humanistic Buddhism that revolves around Buddhist society and moralized politics as its core values.
