In the Diamond Sutra, aspiration, cultivation, and subduing the mind are all related to spiritual practices. It also states that the importance of cultivation lies in the thought that there is nothing to be attained and shall be without deluded conceptualization. In fact, the antidote for delusive conceptualization is to subdue the defiled mind.
