星雲大師兒童教育理念與教材分析:以《心中的陽光.國小低年級》為例=A Study on Children's Educational Philosophy and Practice of Venerable Master Hsing Yun: Based on Sunlight within the Heart Grades 1&2
To collaborate with the Department of Education's policy of "Promotion of Life Education," the Fo Guang Shan Foundation for Buddhist Culture and Education organized a series of teaching materials called Sunlight Within the Heart Grade 1 &2. This research explores the relationship between the aforementioned teaching materials and Venerable Master Hsing Yun's philosophy on child education. Having integrated the Three Acts of Goodness, these teaching materials can be used as supplementary teaching materials for teachers to teach about life education. This research discovered that Venerable Master Hsing Yun's philosophy on child education focuses on character-building and life education, which helps to nurture good habits. These core values is an example of how to apply a Three Acts of Goodness Education. By analyzing Within the Heart Grade 1 &2, the researcher found that: 1.Within the Heart Grade 1 &2 has 24 chapters, most of which hope to achieve the preservation of a child's dignity and to nurture the virtue of gratitude within children. It is evident that this teaching material has a humanistic approach. 2.Some chapters are insufficient; therefore, the researcher has designed a learning evaluation and curriculum based on six chapters, to improve the teaching materials. 3.Venerable Master Hsing Yun places great emphasis and care on child education, as well as promotion of the Three Acts of Goodness in schools. The goal is purify human minds, realize human nature that is "true, virtuous, and beautiful," and nurture young people who will contribute to society.
