From July 1942 to May 1943,the Northwest Art&Culture Survey Group led by Wang Ziyun photographed ancient sites,copied murals,and collected cultural relics at Dunhuang.In 1991,Wang Ziyun’s family donated a panoramic view of the cliff made during their expedition to the Dunhuang Academy,and in2000,41 copies of murals,5 sketches,and 168 photos of caves in Xinjiang taken in 1953 were donated.The exhibition center also has two Kizil paintings copied by Wang Ziyun in 1953.This paper sorts and catalogues the 44 paintings or photos of Dunhuang and the Kizil caves,plusthe 5 sketches.
