"Dunhuang Forum: Inheritance and Innovation—A Summary of the International Conference on Dunhuang and the Silk Road in Memory of the 100 th Anniversary of the Birth of Mr.Duan Wenjie,"jointly organized by the Dunhuang Academy and the Chinese Association of Dunhuang and Turfan Studies,was held on 23—25 August 2017 at Mogao.More than 230 Chinese and foreign scholars attended the conference and discussed the four topics:1.Mr.Duan Wenjie’s achievements,2.inheritance and innovation of Dunhuang art,3.research of the culture and history of Dunhuang and the Silk Road,and 4.conservation of the cultural heritages of Dunhuang and the Silk Road.
