This paper offers an edition of a Syro-Uigur wall inscription from Yulin Cave 16 and represents the first Nestorian text from the Dunhuang region. The inscription was written in the Yuan period by UighurChristian pilgrims coming from Guazhou, and clearly displays the presence of Christian Uigurs around Dunhuang in the Yuan dynasty. This paper further shows that Christian Uighurs shared some part of their cultural tradition with Buddhists.
