The Fuziyan cliff cravings, located in Yanshui village, Qionglai city, Sichuan province, were created in the Tang and Song dynasties. In total there are 18 niches and 4 inscriptions. The themes of the sculptures in these niches include the Three Buddhas, the Seven Buddhas, the Twenty-five Buddhas, Avalokitesvara, Ksitigarbha, Usnisa vijaya dharani sutra illustration, Manjusri, Samantabhadra, and the heavenly kings. Although these statues have sustained serious damage, the unique features and religious themes they exhibit can provide important information for studying the Bashu cave statues of the Tang and Song dynasties.
