This paper aims at discussing the four errors which were, as a Korean monk Shouqi 守其 claimed in his Xindiao jiaozheng beilu 新校正別錄, made by duplicating some contents in the third fascicle of Benshijing 本事經. The author will examine Shouqi's statement by proofreading with various canons. Besides, dictionaries of phonetics like Kehongyinyi 可洪音義 and Huilinyinyi 慧琳音義 will also be employed as collation aids. The author has proved the authenticity of Shouqi's statement by proofreading wuth Japanese manuscript Shengyucang(聖與藏,740 AD)and canons such as Gaoli (zaidiao) 高麗(再雕), Sixi 思溪 and Qisha 磧砂. In addition, this paper will further discuss some noteworthy aspects that Shouqi failed to pay attention to during the process of collation. Examining with dictionaries of phonetics,, the author finds some problems presented in the way Shouqi emendated texts. This paper tries to make a contribution with the result of this finding which seems to coincide with Lücheng's (呂澂,1896-1989) deduction that there were five versions of Shuban (蜀版, also known as Kaibaozang 開寶藏), illustrating different situations of engraving and emendation of canons, from handwritten to block-copied, thriught generations.
