The development and evolution of Chan Buddhism's Thought context has always been closely linked to Prajnā and Buddhism. This article mainly discusses the Prajnā Thought of the Platform-Sūtra of the Sixth Patriarch. First of all, based on the Prajnā Thought in India, and after the introduction of Mahayana Prajnā Thought to China, how the Chan Buddhism carried forward the meditation according to the Prajnā Thought in order to clarifies the context of the Prajnā Thought of Chan Buddhism. Then, analyzes the Buddhist scriptures of Platform-Sūtra of the Sixth Patriarch, explaining the meaning of the Prajnā Thought of Hui Neng and also illustrates that Prajnā Thought's fusion of Buddhist Nature. Hui Neng emphasized that Mahā Prajnā Paramita is the most respected, highest, and the first number of Immediate Teaching Meditation, opens the prelude to Prajnā Thought. The contents of the Platform-Sūtra of the Sixth Patriarch include: First, Hui Neng exerted the philosophy of Prajnā Thought through the mindlessness, formlessness, dwellingless. Second, Hui Neng with a way of Meditation and Prajnā simultaneous, practice the ultimate truth in walk, live, sit, and lie. Third, Hui Neng uses the Buddhist scriptures to educate the public, in addition to revealing the Prajnā Thought in the Platform-Sūtra of the Sixth Patriarch, it also expounds the union of Chan and Doctrine through Prajnā Thought. After consolidating the Prajnā Thought, this article concludes with formless repentance as Prajnā Thought practice, explaining how Hui Neng can apply the Prajnā Thought thoughts of Chan in the actual operation of sins elimination.
