인간은 태어나면서부터 수많은 개인과 집단과의 관계를 구성하며, 그 안에서 수많은 상황들과 대면하게 된다. 문학은 이러한 개인이 경험할 수 있는, 혹은 경험할 수 없는 다양한 경험들을 간접적으로 무한히 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 인간의 삶을 보다 폭넓고 풍요롭게 한다. 본 연구에서는 동화의 기원과 그 맥을 같이 하는 불교 동화 자타카의 교육적 적용이 유아의 대인문제해결능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하고자, 스토리텔링 프로그램을 구성하여 유아들에게 적용하였다. 그 결과, 자타카를 적용한 교육 프로그램에 참여한 유아들은 프로그램 실시 전(M=7.27)에 비해 프로그램 실시 후(M=9.87)에 측정 점수가 긍정적으로 향상되었으며, 자타카를 적용한 프로그램 실시 전후 실험집단과 비교집단의 문제해결능력은 프로그램에 참여한 유아들(M=9.87)은 비교집단(M=7.10)에 비해 대인문제해결능력의 전반적인 점수가 유의미하게(t=3.49, p<.001) 향상되었다.
Human beings form the relationship with many individual and groups from birth, and faces a countless number of situations in forming and maintaining such a relationship. Literature broadens and enriches the human life because it can indirectly provide in an unlimited fashion a wide range of experiences which individuals can or cannot encounter. This study created and applied the story-telling program to children in order to examine the effect that the educational application of Jakata, Buddhist folk tales which has the same context as the origin of fairy tale, would have on the interpersonal cognitive problem-solving Abilities of children. The result of analysis showed a positive improvement among the children who participated in the educational program which applied the Jakata after the implementation(M=9.87) of program, compared to the period prior to the implementation(M=7.27) of the program. In relation to the problem-solving ability of the experiment group and control group before and after the implementation of the program which applied the Jakata, the children(M=9.87) who participated in the program showed a significant improvement(t=3.49,p<.001) in the overall scores of the interpersonal cognitive problem-solving Abilities compared to the control group(M=7.10).
