Since the new coronavirus also known as (COVID-19) began and stretched till today, the plague has caused a situation of global panedmic, causing deep pain to many people around the world and Taiwan is no exception. It has caused deep impact on various sectors of the society ranging from work, livelihood, social interaction and travel, each resulting in much inconveniences to each of the affected sector; needless to mention, it has also caused a deep impact on economic development as well. The religious community has not only adhered to the government's standard operating procedure (SOP) against the Pandemic, but also in order to bring peace to individuals and families in the society, has each in their own traditional manner organized various religious ritualistic ceremonies with the wish to end the pandemic. It is worth mentioning that the Buddhist faith had organized many such events of the same nature in the theme of "Praying for the nation and removal of plague Dharma assemblies" and in order to carry out these ritualistic ceremonies, a large number of ceremonial ritualistic monks are needed. This article aims to take references from Shulin District Xing-ren Gardens Night Market's prayer function of the land and sea ritual andTaipei's Song Shan Ci You Gong Temple's Mahamayuri Vidyaraja ritual ceremony to explain how ritualistic ceremonial monks aim to position their importance amidst dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
