香客對竹蓮寺廟宇識覺及其空間行為之探思 -兼論社會變遷下信眾的變與不變=The study on Believers\' Perception and Spatial Behavior toward Chulien Temple in Hsinchu –and Variance and Invariance of Believers under Social Changes
There are many temples in Hsinchu City. What kind of temple characteristics can attract believers? What is Chulien Temple's perception of the spatial imagery and environment of pilgrims? In addition, the functionality and practicability of folk beliefs in Taiwanese society under the modernization process seem to be reduced. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the motives and decision-making of pilgrims choosing Chulien Temple to worship, and explore the believers' adaptation to the changes of the overall society. Its religious behavior and sacrificial concept change. In this study of quality research, between November 2019 and January 2020, 12 participants were interviewed to complete the data extraction.
For pilgrims, Chulien Temple, as the essence of Hegang Temple, is a "regional belief center", as well as "historical monuments" and "tourist attractions in the city." Engaged in many charitable activities, not only reflects the image of "charity foundation", but also shows the image of "intangible culture retainer" in continuing the Local Adult Ceremony culture. There are four types of worship motives and purposes for believers : routine worship, practice homework, utilitarian orientation, and leisure dimension. There are four decisions that affect worship: (1) Inherit the cultural habits of the original family. (2) Geographical location convenience and accessibility. (3) The spiritual experience of the gods and spirits in the temple. (4) The overall atmosphere of the temple. The change and retention of the religious behavior of the believers can be divided into two parts. First, the social aspect: (1) the autonomy of the worship ceremony and process; (2) the believers adjust the time of worship in response to industrial transformation; (3) Low impact of online media on religious practice. Second, the policy side: (1) The country promotes a friendly environment policy, so that believers can recognize its policies, which in turn affects worship behavior; (2) The Internet sacrifice policy, because it ignores people's needs for physical and mental perception, leads to low acceptance of believers.
