| 摘要 | The purpose of this study is to research speciality and universality of Korean Buddhism by concentrating on the view of women, life mode and life & death. For the study goal, the study will research the concept of "equality", "peace and "freedom" from the aspect of "woman", "ecology" and "life & death" respectively. Through that way, the study could draw the view of woman life to become Buddha as a woman, the view of life mode to take the necessary amount like bee and the view of life & death to live well in order to die well. The issue concerned to universality and speciality of one country's thought or philosophy can't be briefly concluded. Although many scholars have tried a lot, they have not made any satisfactory result yet. Therefore, from the aspect that it is hard to achieve visible result, some people may comfort themselves with the thought that the suggestion itself is meaningful. Universality and speciality of Korean Buddhism is shown well in books and cultures of Korean philosophers. Among them, the view of woman, life mode and life & death contain those of Korea, which are discriminated from those of India, China and Japan. However, it is not easy to draw unique Korean one by comparing or contrasting with those of neighboring countries Sometimes, speciality is found by exposing universality of certain area and age or universality is found by treating speciality of certain subject and substance. Therefore, universality and speciality move together like front and back side of coin. Universality and speciality seem to be same but they are not same and they seem to be different but they are not different. It is similar to the relationship of husband and wife that has no degree but they are not one person. Maybe, there are various methods for more than two people to meet soundly. The shortcut of sound meeting is to recognize, consider, talk with and communicate with other people. The process becomes the method to enable human to maintain his identity rightly and live together. By recognizing and considering each other's difference correctly and talking and communicating with each other, we can achieve happy and healthy life. Korean one is overlapped with those of India, China and Japan but it shows different aspect. Therefore, the map of sameness(continuance) and difference(discontinuance) will be outlined through comparison and contrast with Indian, Chinese and Japanese Buddhism. As other methods, there is method to access by subject or substance. Three subjects of Korean Buddhism are categories of woman, life mode and life & death that are rising as representative themes of the age. The study surveyed universality and speciality through the view of woman as human equality that woman can become Buddha, the view of life mode as equal peace that you have to take the amount as much as you need like bee and the view of life & death as unobstructed freedom that you have to live well like bodhisattva in order to live well. As the result, the study could show the view of equal woman life of Myobeop(妙法), Myoju(妙住) and Ukmyeon(郁面), the view of peaceful ecology of Wongwang(圓光, 555~638) and Wonhyo(元曉, 617~686)) and the view of liberal life & death of Sabok(蛇福) and Daeseong(大城). Moreover, the study could find the clue to demonstrate universality and speciality of Korean Buddhism in many traditions. Therefore, it can be said that Korean Buddhism suggests the view of woman life, life mode and life & death orienting single vehicle and single taste through chemical osmosis(universality) and physical synthesis(speciality) of various existing Buddhism philosophies.
이 논문은 한국불교의 보편성과 특수성을 여성관과 생태관과 생사관을 중심으로 살펴본 글이다. 이를 위해 ‘평등’과 ‘평화’와 ‘자유’의 개념을 각기 ‘여성’과 ‘생태’와 ‘생사’의 개념에 대응하여 풀어보았다. 그리하여 한국불교의 보편성과 특수성 문제를 여성의 몸으로도 성불할 수 있는 여성관, 꿀벌처럼 필요한 만큼만 가져가는 생태관, 보살처럼 잘 살아야 잘 죽는 생사관을 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 한 나라의 사상이나 철학의 보편성과 특수성을 다루는 문제는 간단하게 마무리 지을 수 있는 일이 아니다. 종래 많은 학자들의 여러 차례의 시도에도 불구하고 아직 만족할 만한 결과를 내오지 못하고 있다. 때문에 가시적인 성과가 쉽게 손에 잡히지 않는다는 점에서 보 |
