摘要
본 논의는 한국불교문화사업단이 수행해온 한국33관음성지순례 사업에 대한 성과와 평가를 통해 전통사찰 성지순례 사업의 발전방안을 고민하였다. 먼저 33관음성지 사업을 평가하고, 전국적으로 관음성지화 될 수 있는 사찰을 다시 선정하는 연구를 수행한 결과를 평가하였다. 논자는 전통사찰 소재 성지순례 사업의 전망을 살펴보았다. 우리나라 전통사찰이 지니고 있는 우수한 문화자원을 토대로 관광자원화할 수 있는 충분한 가능성과 무궁무진한 역량을 살펴보았다. 한국불교의 특징과 문화적 상징성 및 문화자원 연계 가능성이 큰 관음성지순례야 말로 종교관광과 문화관광의 성공사례가 될 가능성이 높다. 논자는 전통사찰 성지순례 개발 및 활용을 위해서 제언하였다. 먼저 성지순례의 체험요소 확보가 중요하다고 본다. 이를 위해 성지 관련 스토리텔링과 순례자들의 체험을 공유하는 프로그램 개발, 성지에 관한 정보를 자세하게 제공하기 위해 보다 적극적인 스토리텔링 작업이 필요하다. 둘째, 보다 다양한 문화관광상품 개발이 필요하다고 제안하였다. 본 논의에서 전통사찰을 소재로 성지순례의 발전을 위한 제언을 하였다. 첫째, 전통사찰 성격별 재정비 및 문화자원 활용방안 도출이 시급하다. 둘째, 성지순례 사찰의 스토리자원의 분석과 활용을 위한 프로그램 구축이 필요하다. 셋째, 성지순례 사찰 전체에 통용될 수 있는 문화체험 및 신앙의례를 개발하여 체험을 이끌어내 브랜드 체험을 각인시킬 수 있는 계기를 마련해야 한다. 다음으로 문화콘텐츠를 활용한 성지순례 브랜드 아이덴티티 구축을 제안하였다. 아울러 운영조직체계의 확대 개편과 성지 인증제 도입 및 소통의 장을 마련할 것을 제안하였다. 본 논의를 통해 한국 전통사찰이 보유한 가치를 현대화하고 확장할 수 있는 전통사찰 성지순례 사업의 새로운 도약을 위해 이바지할 것이다.
This discussion considered the development of the traditional temple pilgrimage project through the performance and evaluation of the Korea 33 Guanyin Holy Land Pilgrimage Project, which has been carried out by the Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism. This was first evaluated for the 33 Guanyin Holy Land Pilgrimage, and the results of conducting research on re-selection of temples that can be Guanyin Holy Land throughout the country were evaluated. I examined the prospects of pilgrimage to the Holy Land in traditional temples. Based on the excellent cultural resources of Korea's traditional temples, we looked at the sufficient possibilities and endless capabilities to make tourism resources. A pilgrimage to the Guanyin Holy Land Pilgrimage, which is highly likely to link the characteristics of Korean Buddhism with cultural symbolism and cultural resources, is likely to be a successful example of religious tourism and cultural tourism. I proposed the development and utilization of pilgrimage to traditional Buddhist temples. First of all, I think it is important to secure the experience element of pilgrimage to the Holy Land. To this end, more active storytelling work is needed to develop a program to share the pilgrims' experiences, and provide detailed information about the Holy Land. Second, it was suggested that more diverse cultural tourism products should be developed. In this discussion, a proposal was made for the development of pilgrimage to the Holy Land based on traditional temples. First, it is urgent to find ways to reorganize and utilize cultural resources by the nature of traditional temples. Second, it is necessary to establish a program to analyze and utilize story resources of pilgrimage temples. Third, cultural experiences and rituals of faith that can be used throughout the pilgrimage temple should be developed, leading to the experience and providing an opportunity to imprint the brand experience. Next, we proposed the establishment of the Holy Land Pilgrimage Brand Identity. In addition, it proposed the expansion and reorganization of the operating organization system, the introduction of the Holy Land Certification System, and the establishment of a venue for communication. Through this discussion, we will contribute to a new leap forward in the pilgrimage project of traditional temples that can modernize and expand the value of traditional Korean temples.
