早期佛教倫理思想的起源與婆羅門的關係 : 以《雜含經論會編》〈婆羅門相應〉為中心之研究=The Development of the Ethical Thought of Early Buddhism and Its Relationship with Brahman ─ A Study of the Samyukta Agama –the Core of Brahmana-Samyuttam
The purpose of this thesis was to conduct a study of Brahman, which is discussed in the early sutras. By reciprocal teaching, Buddha pointed out the differences in ethical thought between Buddhism and Brahman. Buddhist doctrine reflects the unique features of Buddhist thought. The texts reviewed in this thesis were selected from the four collections of Agamas, with special emphasis on the Brahmana-Samyuttam. The ethical thought of early Buddhism and its relationship with Brahmanism were examined. The Brahman caste, made up of priests, was the highest one in the ancient Indian caste system. Brahmanism has dominated Indian religious belief for thousands of years. The ethical teachings of Buddhism and Brahmanism and the dialogues between Buddha and Brahman are presented in the written records of the Buddhist sutras.
