般若波羅密多心要之探究: 以《般若波羅蜜多心經》之「照見五蘊皆空」為主=Exploration of the Essence of Prajñāpāramita from “vyavalokayati sma pañcaskandhāḥ tāṃś ca svabhāvaśūnyān paśyati sma” of the Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya sutra
Prajñāpāramita is a collection of trainings of śrāvakayana and Bodhisattvayana to achieve Buddhahood. While practicing, practitioners at the same time realize that there is nothing they will achieved after making all these efforts. Since Prajñāpāramita contains too broad and vast, the tiny and short “Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra (Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya sutra)” should be a handy guide for those who are willing to practice Prajñāpāramita. Therefore, this article discusses the essence of Prajna, the core practice, based on the excerpt from the “Heart Sutra” that says “Seeing that the five aggregates are all empty ( 照見 五蘊皆空 )”. After the discussion in this article, we can see that the essence of Prajna Paramita in the “Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra” is inseparable from the observation method (vipaśyanā) recorded in the “Āgāma Sutra” discovered and expounded by the Buddha.
