摘要 | The article discusses how the approach of virtue ethics offers a basis for Buddhist ecological ethics. The approach of virtue ethics emphasizes the role of the agent rather than the action. The approach offers a basis for Buddhist ecological ethics because the approach is grounded in the practice and tradition of Buddhism. Buddhist ecology calls for the orientation of traditional virtues toward certain problems associated with the environment. |
