摘要
日常生活中,每天都有許許多多的問題要面對和解決。由於人們習慣於向外馳求,心是向外的,處理問題的方式大致上是「向外衍生」,在外面解決問題。這樣做經常只解到問題的表面,並未解決問題的源頭。問題源頭在心內,不在外面,因此,可以用蓮花生大士的「觀看心念」這個方法來解決問題。作法是在面對問題時,回頭看、覺察自己的起心動念,注意外境什麼狀況,引發內心是什麼念頭產生,之後自己又有什麼反應,同時不去修整、調整自己心中起來的念頭,就這樣一直持續回頭看自己心中出現的念頭,以便鬆開念頭的束縛,和了解自己的心。這種作法是利用問題的出現來修行。因為心中沾染的念頭,不經過外境,是不太會顯現的,藉由外境的刺激,使心中潛藏的念頭出現,正好讓自己有機會覺察到這些念頭,而能夠鬆開這些念頭的束縛。如此一來,生活中的問題,反而成為修行的好機會。 People have to face and solve problems in their daily life. People’s mind are used to deriving thoughts outwards; therefore they tend to solve a problem by finding the solution outside their mind. However, the method can only deal with the superficiality of a problem, rather than the origin of a problem, which exists in the inside of mind. “Observing thoughts in mind” can be applied to solving a problem. This method is to pay attention to what things in the environment cause what thoughts to arise in mind when facing a problem, and keep observing the arising thoughts to let the obstinacy of a thought released. With this method, people can find the origin of a problem, which is thoughts or obstinacy in mind, and release the obstinacy of the thoughts and become free from afflictions. This method is an excellent approach to enter into religious practice.
