"Trirpsika-vijnaptimatrata-siddhi" is a very small, but most important work in the Yogacara school, in which all systems of vijnaptimatra philosophy are compressed. The author's basic assertion is proposed in it's first verse and a half, where it is said that various verbal expressions [prajnapti] are founded on the changing flow of senses or of consciousness [vijnanaparinama]. In my view, this assertion has not been understood correctly. So in this paper, I attempt to clear up that meaning by refering to the "Cheng wei shi lun" (『成唯識論』) and the doctrine of the Fa xiang sect (法相宗).
