The lifem，work and teachings of Chu-hung(1535-1615)，a prominent Buddhist monk and Vinaya Master. Leader of the Yun-chi monastery in Hangchow，Chu-hung revived strict adherence to monastic life，and favored simultaneous adherence to Pure Land and Ch’an Buddhism.
