This paper aims to study the developmental status of the Tibetan traditional Buddhism in Taiwan. It makes a point of systematic positivism with various methods such as questionnaire, interview, visits and participation of religious activities. Through the process of analysis, we fond that the faith and rites of the Tibetan traditional Buddhism in Taiwan were brought about some change, and the Tibetan lamas, Taiwanese believers, and the Tibetans living here are all deserved to acquaint with in order to find out the similarity between Tibetan, Buddhism and Taiwanese faith. We may say that different religious workers or believers have some different specific quality, which implied their functions in society. In other words, the development of Tantric Buddhism in Taiwan has influenced the native society, polity and culture to some extent. We will find that the Tibetan Buddhism has been popularly received by Taiwanese, although the Tibetan are the minority here. Besides, the migrated Tibetans and Tantric Buddhism have an intimate relation, that why we spent such a large share in this paper to introduce, inspect, analyze and comment them. The result is that the interactive influence between Tibetan Buddhism and the native community, religion and culture is very great, distinctive and consented.
