摘要佛缽信仰與傳法思想,是中古時期印度、中亞、中國重要的文化現象和思想意識,形成兩條相互關聯的發展軌跡。其一,基于有關佛缽的釋迦佛教化事跡,西北印度約2—5世紀上半葉形成以禮拜、供養為特征的佛缽信仰中心地,又直接或間接地影響到中印度、東南印度及西域。中亞4世紀前后佛缽供養與兜率天上彌勒菩薩組合表述傳法思想,佛缽已然成為佛法象征。中原6世紀末葉作為潛流存在的佛缽信仰,演化為傳法思想發展的依托形式。其二,發端于西北印度的傳法思想,與兜率天上彌勒菩薩信仰聯系起來。中亞、西域6、7世紀彌勒菩薩信仰與末法及傳法圖像渾然一體表現,突出了傳法的緊要性。中原6世紀末葉佛教圖像呈現末法、護法、傳法思想集結現象,作為核心的傳法思想成為一股強勁的佛教思潮。佛缽信仰與傳法思想以兜率天上彌勒菩薩為紐帶互為表里、并行發展,直觀地反映了人們的信仰熱情和密切文化交流的情況,佛教發展的曲折經歷亦同時顯現。

Both the practices of Buddhist bowl and Dharma Thought were an import cultural phenomena and ideology for Medieval India,Central Asia and China.The two shared a development that was intertwined throughout history.First,based on the Buddhist Bowl referred to in Sakyamuni Buddha s life stories, worshipping practices were established during the second to early fifth centuries in Northwest India,which become the founding place for Buddha Bowl practices.This eventually,direcdy influenced Central and Southeast India, as well as the Tusita Heaven Maitreya Bodhisattva to narrate Dharma Thought, thus making the Buddha Bowl a symbol of Buddhism the Central Plain, which later evolved into the cradle for the development of Dharma Thought. Second, the Dharma Thought that originated from Northwest India were combined with the religious beliefs in Tusita Heaven Maitreya Bodhisattva included depictions of Mofa (the latter day of the law) Hufa (the defenders of Dharma) and Chuanfa (the transmission of the Dharma). These served as core values to Dharma Thought, and became a dominant Buddhist trend. The Tusita Heaven Maitreya bodhisattva served as a medium that connected the intrinsic values of Dharma Thought and symbolic Buddhist Bowl, thus allowing the two to progress in parallel. Intuitively, this serves as a reflection on people's religious passions and the close interaction between cultures, as well as record of Buddhism's development.
