The essay believes that all the Water and Land images found in the northern areas were created in according to The Ceremony of the Heaven and Earth, Day and Night, Water and Land Feast (Tian Di Ming Yang Shui Lu Yi Wen), including the murals of Chongtai temple of Yu county of Hebei province, which is here taken for instance by the author to make an interpretation of its content and the honorific title of Fierce guardian of Buddhism, grouping the gods and making up the missing inscriptions based on The Ceremony.
