Two issues of Dunhuang Research were tentatively published in 1981 and 1982,and the publication was formally founded in 1983.The year 2013 marks its thirtieth anniversary.The advance from those tentative issues to the full founding of Dunhuang Research is not only an episode in Dunhuang Academy’s 70-year history;it’s also the epitome of Dunhuang spirit.
