The article discusses the trust networks of Buddhism between the U.S., Taiwan and Malaysia. Topics covered include the ongoing inter-Asia connection in the context of the international humanitarian organization Tzu Chi, assets in religion-facilitated social networks, and trust networks as a form of spiritual capital. Also mentioned are the early development of the New York division of Tzu Chi's transnational network and the development of the Malacca branch in Malaysia.
