Taking the Buddhist sculptures exist in Chengdu District as an examples of the Southern Dynasty, this article had made systematical study on the unique feature of the Buddhist art in Sichuan Province and had made a comparative study with the Buddhist art found in Nanjing and others places along the north part of China which has dated at the same time as these found in Chengdu district, the study has reviewed the importance position of the Buddhist sculptures existing in Sichuan, especially these sculptures found in Chengdu district, in the study of the Buddhist art of the Southern Dynasty.
