AbstractAbout 190 pieces of Uighur inscriptoon which are 590 lines remain in 25 caves of the Yulin Grottoes. Most of them were carved on the walls of Hexi corridor by the tourists and pilgrims for prayer, and the content of some donor, s inscriptions contain date, name, where from, purpose, benefaction and vow. The inscriptions were mostly carved in grass script in the Yuan dynasty. In this paper, the authors indicate the pronunciation make explanatory notes and study of 10 pieces of complete inscriptions among them.
