From the seventh century when Songzhanganbu introduced Buddhism to Tibet to the ninth century when Langdamu abolished Buddhism,these two hundred years were regarded as the first development period of Buddhism in Tibet and called in history "the Qianhong Period" of Tibetan Buddhism.With the support of the unified Tubo Kingdom(a local regime),Tibetan Buddhism made much progress in the translation of Buddhist scriptures through the training of translators,the writing reform,the selection of Buddhist classics and translation studies.
