rGyud sde kun btus-the collection of Buddhist Mandalas,was compiled by the eminent monks of Sakya Sect in the 19th century.It consists of sadhanas,religious rituals, the interpretations to the tantras and so forth.In accordance with the documents,139 pieces of mandalas were painted and published in The Ngor Mandalas of Tibe,the well-known works. Being one of the most common kinds of the Mother Tantras Mandalas,Hevajra Mandalas have been highly regarded by various schools of Tibetan,therefore,Hevajra represents slightly different iconographic characteristics from one another as a result of it,which are described in details in rGyud sde kun btus.This essay attempts to approach a study on Hevajra Mandalas.
