This paper looks at the correspondence between Junjiro Takakusu and Soho Tokutomi by examining twelve letters owned by the Soho Tokutomi Memorial Museum in Kanagawa prefecture. Also, this paper includes the reprinting of these twelve letters. These letters are addressed to Soho Tokutomi from Junjiro Takakusu, his son Masao Takakusu, and the concerned people. There are various kinds of letters that were exchanged, for example, invitations, request documents, and letters of appreciation. These letters reveal the fact that Takakusu had a broad range of relationships with large number of people. They also show that Masao, Takakusuʼs son, had a close relationship with Tokutomi. In addition, I was able to posit the dates of three of these letters, which were previously unknown.
