佛教的制度化重構 — 以星雲大師人間佛教理論實踐為例=A Framework of the Systematization of Buddhism: Using the Theory and Practices of Humanistic Buddhism as Advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun as Examples
A framework of the systematization of modern Buddhism is an important component of the theory and practices of Humanistic Buddhism as advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. The Fo Guang Shan system focuses on the integration of tradition and modernity, a novel systematization of Buddhism adapted to modern society. This modern Buddhist system promoted and practiced by Venerable Master Hsing Yun not only facilitated the development of Buddhism itself, but also became an important driving force for the internationalization of Chinese Buddhism. Many measures practiced by Fo Guang Shan, such as building a system that integrates rules and disciplines of Buddhism, adapt this system to modern society, as well as integrate democratic principles into it. All these aspects deserve considered attention.
