This paper presents the texts and its Japanese translation of the Mahāyānasūtrālaṃkāra(=MSA), chapter XI.53-59. Chapter XI focusing on Dharmaparyeṣtyadhikāra (examination of the Dharma) consists of 78 verses in total, within that ekayānatā-paryeṣti (examination of the One Vehicle) appears in verses 53 to 59. Currently, in addition to Vasubandhu’s commentary on the MSA, there are two further sub-commentaries available, those being Asvabhāva’s Mahāyānasūtrālaṃkāra-ṭīkā (=MSAT. ) and Sūtrālaṃkāra-vṛtti-bhāṣya (=SAVBh). This paper presents the Sanskrit and Tibetan Texts with a Japanese translation of the MSABh, the Tibetan text with a Japanese translation of the MSAT with corrections from Hayashima’s work [1979], and a Japanese translation of the SAVBh. Last I give a synopsis of chapter XI.53-59, based on the research above.
