The Dunhuang manuscript Dunhuangxian Zhengtang Shenyu collected in the Dunhuang Academy was an official document issued by the Dunhuang county government to the Taoist priest Wang Yuanlu in December of the second year of the Xuantong era(1910), ordering him to keep close watch on the cache of manuscripts. A second text entitled Cuimu Jingkuan Caodan, is the draft of Wang Yuanlu asked for payment. This paper transcribes the above documents and examines the manuscripts as well as relevant historical events, hoping to shed light on an important part of the history of Dunhuang Studies.
