The Shifoya Grottoes of Dahutan at the Royal City in Su’nan County is one of the medium or small scale cave groups in Gansu Province. About eight caves currently survive, all of which contain statues and murals from the Tang dynasty as well as murals painted in the Western Xia or Yuan dynasties from when the caves were renovated.
