백중놀이를 활용한 유아교육 프로그램 개발 -- 누리과정 중 사회관계영역을 중심으로 =Applying Ullambana-play in Early Childhood Education -- The Use of a Nuri Curriculum in Developing Social Relationships among Pre-schoolers
본 연구는 백중놀이를 활용하여 유아들에게 불교의 가치와 의미를 알려주는 것과 함께 바람직한 사회구성원으로서 갖춰야할 사고와 덕목들을 익힐 수 있도록 하는데 목적을 둔 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 백중관련 연구 및 문헌을 고찰한 결과 백중놀이에는 종교성 뿐 아니라 공동체의 가치, 나와 가족⋅타인과의 관계, 그리고 이러한 관계 안에서 갖춰야 할 덕목들이 포함되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 국가수준 유치원교육 과정인 누리과정 중 백중관련 연구 및 문헌 고찰결과와 연관성이 깊은 사회관계영역의 내용범주와 내용을 기반으로 하여 백중놀이를 활용한 유아교육프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램에는 백중놀이를 활용한 교육목적 및 목표, 교수⋅학습방법, 교육내용, 그리고 四攝法을 布施攝, 愛語攝, 利行攝, 同事攝으로 구분하여 활동내용에 따른 불교교육 관련요소를 명시하였다. 또한 백중날을 전⋅후하여 열리는 백중장을 활용한 주간수업계획과 백중의 대표적 민속놀이인 씨름을 적용한 부분수업 계획안을 제시하였다.
This study aims to teach preschoolers the value and meaning of Buddhism as well as the thinking and virtues required to be responsible members of society by implementing Ullambana-play (Summer Folk Festival) into the standardized curriculum. A literature review of Ullambana-related research found that Ullambana-play includes themes such religiosity, value of community, relations with self, family and others, and virtues. Therefore, based on the content and themes of Ullambana and literature on Nuri curriculum, which is the national-level kindergarten curriculum in Korea, an early childhood educational program using Ullambana-play was developed. Dividing the educational goals and purpose, teaching and learning methods, educational content, and Catur-Samgraha-Vastu (四攝法) using Ullambana-play in the program as well as dāna-samgraha (布施攝), priya-vāditā-samgraha (愛語攝), artha-caryā-samgraha (利行攝), and samānârthatā-saṃgraha (同事攝), the elements related to Buddhism education based on activity contents, were specified. Also, the weekly lesson plan using Ullambana Market held before and after the celebration of Ullambana, including a partial lesson plan on Ssireum (Korean wrestling) as a representative folk game of Ullambana were suggested.
