宗教信仰對教師情緒管理影響之研究-以桃竹地區國小教師為例=Study on Influence Posed by Religious Belief to Teachers’ Emotion Management - Take Elementary School Teachers in the Districts of Taoyuan and Hsinchu for Example
The Study aimed to probe into the influencing factors of elementary school teachers’ religious belief, influence posed by the religious belief to the elementary school teachers, privately and in workplace, and variance before and after the religious conversion. The Study applied the qualitative research method, and conducted the semi-structured in-depth interview based on the drafted interview guide to collect and analyze information. The researched subjects include ten elementary school teachers with religious belief in Taoyuan District and Hsinchu County.
According to the study results, (1) There are multiple factors resulting in the elementary school teachers’ religious conversion, instead of one single factor. Among the other things,“family” and “religious group” are identified as the two primary factors critical to the teachers’ religious belief; (2) The influence posed by religious belief to the elementary school teachers’ emotion management, privately and in family, resides in the improvement of mental condition and character, thereby helping the teachers build their personal images, feel confident about themselves, improve their characters, discipline themselves, enhance their empathy, think from multiple points of view, and find mind peace and stable power; (3) In workplace, the influence posed by the religious belief to the elementary school teacher’s emotion management helps improve their interpersonal relationship with their supervisors and co-workers. When communicating with parents, they learn how to listen, interact with parents positively and control their temper adequately. When tutoring students, they will make themselves as the role model and advance their inclusion to mitigate the conflict between teachers and students. When teaching courses, they value character education and also keep improving their teaching skills; (4) Through the religious conversion, the elementary school teachers have transformed positively, no matter in mental condition, sociality or life.
