The aim of this research project is to gain a better understanding of “Fa Men Ming Yi Ji” and investigates its impact on the other Dunhuang manuscripts. In this study, the method of Buddhist philology is used to record and supervise the recorded texts. The evidence of the text itself is used to examine the acceptance and influence of the Fashu Leishu “Fa Men Ming Yi Ji”, especially the transcripts, rewriting, and expansion of the sentences. It was found that many sentences of Famen Mingyi Ji have been used for the text of Dacheng Zhongzong Insights, parts of which have been copied and written as Triratna and Triratna and Four Noble Truths, furthermore, a lot of sentences of the Dunhuang manuscripts of Three subjects were copies from the Famen Mingyi Ji and Dacheng Zhongzong Insights . It can be seen that the Dunhuang Fashu Leishu Famen Mingyi Ji might have been as a reference book for the transmission and expansion of Dunhuang Buddhist manuscripts because of a large number of collected Buddhist common sense knowledge and its understandable sentences. Therefore, the number of related manuscripts is very large. It is different from the development of Unique school manuscripts. It is hoped that the results of this Fashu manuscripts study can make up for the vacancy in the history of Buddhist literature and could be the basis for the study of the Fashu manuscripts study in the Tang Dynasty and the Fashu Books study in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.
