The concept of "Humanistic Buddhism" has been the mainstream of Chinese Buddhists in contemporary Chinese society. The Dharma Drum Mountain established in Taiwan, has been making efforts to build a Pure Land on Earth, to uplift the character of human being, and to advocate "the Fivefold Spiritual Renaissance Campaign" along with "the Six Ethics of the Mind Campaign." By conducting the educational function, the two campaigns strive to reach the goal of purifying people and society. This paper aims at exploring the influence of Master Ven. Sheng Yen's establishing Dharma Drum Mountain on nowadays Chinese Buddhism. It also points out the future development of Chinese Buddhism in the 21st Century. From the comparative viewpoint, we predict Chinese Buddhism will become a navigator of this new era and bring forth a feature of East Asia's Buddhism which is totally different from the past.
