| 摘要 | “Saichō received the doctrines of four sects” is a statement often made in the field of the history of Japanese Buddhism, and we uncritically consider it an old established view. But, in fact, the statement grew gradually over a long time, from the Heian period to modern times. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on this process and avoid the confusion caused by overlooking this fact. |
