The History of far Eastern Art is the first one-volume survey of the dominant visual arts of Asia east of the Indus River, from about 2500 B.C to A.D 1850. This extensively-illustrated, comprehensive survey history of all of Far Eastern art to A.D 1850 follows a chronological, geographical/cultural, and medium organization throughout. Written by Sherman E. Lee, a director of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the book contains 716 illustrations. including 60 colour plates, plus a map and a chart.
