Including an Appendix authored by Janet G. Douglas.
摘要
It is proposed that the "Jayabuddhamahānātha" images distributed by King Jayavarman VII of Cambodia in 1191 can be identified as the stone "radiant" Avalokiteśvara images of which more than a dozen are known. In an appendix, Janet G. Douglas identifies the stone of one such image in the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery as lithic arkose.
