本論文以佛光山新營講堂籌建及蘭陽別院弘法管理為例，藉由文獻整理、詮釋分析與參與觀察法的研究方法，探索寺院籌建及管理內涵及其特色。佛教寺院為社區的信仰中心，承載著佛教的精神和文化傳承的使命，寺院管理需要注重保護和傳承；且佛教寺院的管理內涵和特色，在於將佛教的價值觀與管理學原則結合，融合了心靈與倫理層面的指導，以及組織運營和社會貢獻的實踐。 星雲大師說：「我並沒有什麼高深的管理法則；管理人，我倡導法治、人治、無為而治，因為最好的管理，莫過於自己內心的管理。」管理學最重要就是管好自己，一切自然能循序漸進。這短短數語，道盡佛光山的寺院管理內涵及其特色。 本文作者曾經承蒙星雲大師囑咐，胼手胝足承接新營講堂籌建及蘭陽別院弘法的管理重責。由於這樣的工作經驗，得以窺見組織管理與系統運作的全貌。 在本文中透過現代管理學中經常使用的，「以小窺大」的管理觀念，作個案觀察及小規模的分析案例。再者，本文對寺院籌建過程逐步進行陳述及剖析，期能說明寺院建築與使用之管理特色；並與管理學理論進行交叉比對，俾得以闡述現代化寺院管理之內涵與特色，實踐星雲大師「人間佛教」的弘法理念。 This study takes the preparation of the Foguang Shan Xinying Lecture Hall and the Dharma propagation management of Lanyang Villa as examples to explore the connotation and characteristics of temple management. The research methods used in this study are literature review, interpretive analysis and participant observation. Buddhist temples are the faith centers of the community and inherit the spiritual and cultural heritage of Buddhism. The temple management focus on protection and inheritance. Moreover, the management of Buddhist temples lie in the combination of Buddhist values and management. It integrates spiritual and ethical guidance, as well as the practice of organizational operations and social contribution. Master Hsing Yun said: “I don't have any profound management rules; when managing people, I advocate rule of law, rule by people, and rule by inaction. Because the best management is your own heart. The most important thing in management is to take good care of yourself, and everything will happen step by step.” It explains the connotation and characteristics of Fo Guang Shan's temple management. The author was once entrusted by Master Hsing Yun to take the management of the preparation for the construction of Xinying Lecture Hall and the propagation of Dharma in Lanyang Villa. Because of the experience, the author has a glimpse of the whole picture of organizational management and system operation. The study uses the modern management concept of “seeing the big from the small” as observations analysis cases. Furthermore, this study describes and analyzes the temple preparation process step by step, to explain the management characteristics of temple construction, and the cross-compare with management theory. So as to explain the connotation and characteristics of modern temple management and practice Master Hsing Yun's “Humanistic Buddhism” concept.
