| 摘要 | 魏晉南北朝，在佛典翻譯的"文質之爭"中，"文質論"從儒家的人格論與治道說發展成為在文學批評領域產生廣泛影響的文藝思想。佛典譯家們對"內容與形式"層面的文質關系問題的深入探討，對後世文學實用理論、接受理論、文學審美理論的發展產生了不容忽視的影響。在修辭層面，他們對佛典譯文語言風格的文質論爭也使得俗語與文言在書面使用中的沖突開始凸顯出來。譯家們的實踐促進了文學語體風格的多元化，使得質樸、繁復成為漢語精約、含蓄的風格之外可欣賞的另一種"語趣"，在通俗書面語產生的歷史進程中發揮了至關重要的作用。佛典翻譯過程中不斷深化的"文質論"終於在劉勰集南朝文藝理論之大成的《文心雕龍》中發展成為成熟、系統的文藝思想。
The theory of Wen /Zhi was gradually developed in the dispute between Wen and Zhi in Buddhist Scriptural translation during Wei and Jin Dynasties. Translators of Buddhist Scripture analyzed the concepts of Wen and Zhi from two aspects: Wen and Zhi as outward embellishment and inner substance; Wen and Zhi as two language styles. And the balance between Wen and Zhi was the same aesthetic pursuit of these translators. Their research exerted significant influence on many literary theories, including pragmatism, aestheticism and reception theories. And the dispute between Wen and Zhi intensified the conflict between colloquial language and written language. The practice of these translators of Buddhist Scripture also made heavy and plain an enjoyable language style. It played a very important role in the development of the colloquial written language. The insightful studies of Wen /Zhi by such scholars as Dao An and Zhao Zheng are still illuminative today. |
